Expanding the brief
I wanted to expand on the brief that was set, purely to develop the branding of the company as they are only starting up. With that in mind I wanted to designs something I haven't done before, that being website design.

Concept
I started off with having a one page website in mind, which would flow with images and information from top to bottom, that would feature the following sections;
Home, About us, Produce, Store and Contact.

The home section of the website would begin from the very top of the website, that being the header then going down to the bottom of the hero banner, which would contain either a pull quote or a brief insight to the values of the brand.

Following on from that would be the About us section that would expand on the brand values previously used within the home part of the site and also explain what they offer to customers interested in their products.

The store would feature products such as T-Shirts and Tote-bags using the five selected designs, showcased in rows of three. The idea is that you click on a item and you get a popup with a bigger view of the item allowing you to choose size and colour then adding to the checkout.
To create a visual idea of what the information would look like I decided to use “Lorem Ipsum” as a placeholder for the body text.

Development
Throughout development, I stuck with the original idea of a single paged site. but refined the concept to develop a hidden page that would act as a checkout for the store, which can only be accessed by clicking on the items within the store itself.

I contained myself in-regards to the colour scheme, by only using the white and green assigned to the rest of the branding but adding in a dark navy for the “Header” and “Footer” of the site. These colours together aren’t overpowering and make the end result look clean and presentable.

I wanted to experiment with using the various colours especially for the footer of the website along with the store section of the page. Removing the grey box around the items to make the site look more dynamic to viewers.
Overall I think the strongest part of the website is the header and the banner. I feel this as it flows naturally as when you scroll down you can easily follow the information, however after the section “About Us” the writing is all over the place and takes away the simplicity of the site.

Further development
To further develop the website, I wanted to replace the placeholder images, by using royalty free images from a website known as Unsplash.

The main reason I did this was to make the site feel more suited to its purpose as well as having images that can be used for publishing.
