The Project.
Founded early in September, Velo Ad is a advertising agency based in London, specializing in the placement of advertising on the mid section of privately owned bicycles. “Velo” being the French translation of the word “Bicycle”.
I was commissioned to redevelop the original logo concept, keeping the initial idea of the design the same, but making the fundamentals more dynamic and appealing to future clients.

There was quite a few improvements that needed to be made to the old logo for it to appeal in a more effective manner such as;
-
Low quality and lack of professional standard files such as AI or PSD.
-
Colour scheme needs more placement, as it is all over the place and has no direct placement.
-
The middle section of the bike needs redevelopment, removing the text and triangle, as it looks out of place and makes the logo feel cheap.

Reflection.
Although this project was small and took a matter of hours, there is still a lot that I can reflect on. The project was to redevelop an existing logo, keeping the style, shape and overall feel of the logo identical but slightly changing it to become more professional and appealing to the target audience of the brand.
The new logo, looks more professional with the middle section being empty and now being easier to understand the logo at smaller sizes, which is crucial for any successful logo design.
In the future it would be best to develop my skills further when creating style guides to present my work to clients, making a template themed around my branding or suited to the project would be a great idea for easy usage.
Client Feedback.
