Logo Design.
The original concept for the logo was to create something that symbolizes Hoam Grown in an effective manner, with the use of a combination mark. The initial idea for the primary mark of the logo was to create a flower using nothing but shapes with Adobe Illustrator, primarily the circle shape. Overlapping four circles then using the shape builder tool.

Protection.
The logo should be used and sized in a very strict way to ensure that the identity is consistent and the logo is not misused. To enhance this the logo will have a clear space around it to protect from being used in situations that may cause confusion.

The space around the logo should equal to 33.33% or a third of the size of the primary mark. To get the most consistency the combination mark follows the same guidelines. An example of this guideline is if the primary mark is 900px x 900px or on print 317.50mm x 317.50mm, the protected space would equal 1500px x 1500px or 533.4 mm x 533.4 mm.

The logo should never be presented smaller than 5% wide on any applications. When working with print based materials that equals to 15.88mm for the primary mark and 43.40mm for the combination mark. For digital based assets, the primary mark should be no smaller than 45px wide and the combination mark, no less than 123.01px wide.
Reflection.
The logo designed for Hoam Grown, suits the brand with the colour representing the environment therefore hitting the brief successfully. I decided to develop a small set of guidelines that will be presented during the presentation to my tutor and the class prior to the Christmas break.

In the future it would be best to develop a wider range of concepts to present to get feedback to further develop one idea or the entire range. This also gives the client more concepts to favour meaning a higher chance of a successful project, rather than submitting one design for it to be rejected.

Personal task.
Over the Christmas break or prior to the meeting with the client, I will redevelop the branding guidelines to a higher standard to both progress my skills as designer and show that I can produce high standard of work at this level. These guidelines should cover every aspect of the branding developed.

Updated guidelines.
